Plus other topics relevant to participants' needs. There will be
opportunities to attend or participate in ceremonies within the program and community. Participants will also be able to develop or enhance skills in cultural craft activities; such as moccasin making, medicine bags, rattles painting, storytelling and much more!
Who should attend?
Individuals of First Nations, Inuit, or Metis descent 18 years and over who want to live an alcohol and drug free life, who would like cul-tural support and who primarily live in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.
- Individuals who have a desire to choose to change their beliefs, attitudes, behaviours and thinking in a positive manner to enhance their relationships with others by explor-ing their cultural identity.
- Individuals who want to learn more about native spirituality and the steps to leading a culturally relevant lifestyle in an Urban environment.
- Individuals who are contemplating residential treatment, waiting to leave for residential treatment and/or returning from residential treatment.
