For: youth aged 14 to 24.
The Ministry of Health and the health authorities have joined with From Grief to Action and Central City Foundation to establish this new treatment centre.
Applicants will enter this therapeutic community after withdrawing from drugs and alcohol, then stay in the residential program for six months to a year, depending on their needs. Managing the program will be Portage, a Canadian agency which currently operates centres in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. More in FGTA news.
