Portage
Portage, which operates the long-term youth treatment centre in Keremeos, is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to the social rehabilitation of substance abusers since 1973. It serves male and female British Columbians aged 13 to 18.
Portage also offers services and programs in the Montréal and Québec City regions, in Ontario, and in Atlantic Canada.
The organization's aim is to return serious substance abusers to mainstream society as drug-free, crime-free and productive citizens through comprehensive, responsive and cost-effective interventions based on the therapeutic community approach.
