Recovery management depends on handling stress well, researchers find
Penn State behavioral researchers have found that recovering addicts who avoid coping with stress succumb easily to substance use cravings, making them more likely to relapse during recovery. The study was done in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery, Texas Tech University
The findings appeared in a recent issue of Addictive Behaviors.
