What became of B.C.'s ayahuasca experiment?
Indian Country Today has published a detailed update on the status of ayahuasca ceremonies in British Columbia. Those who, in November 2011, saw the TV documentary authorized by Dr. Gabor Mate of Vancouver, know that the physician himself experienced the ayahuasca ritual conducted by a shaman in Peru and then later, collaborating with native B.C. health workers, brought the shaman to a First Nations band in which addiction had reached epidemic proportions. Senior B.C. addiction researchers volunteered as co-investigators. Catch up on the outcomes with the article at the link below.http://indiancountrytodaymedianetwork.com/2012/04/30/ayahuasca-may-hold-key-to-breaking-addiction-but-canada-is-forcing-a-doctor-to-stop-its-testing-110073
